No, because you have to make 1.5 a whole number by moving the decimal one place to the right. You would do the same thing to 30.
30 / 1.5 is the same thing as 300 / 15

3. Solve 1.5x = 30
divide both sides by 1.5
left side = x
right side is 30 / 1.5 (In N Out)
use long division to divide 30 by 1.5
we don't divide with a decimal in the divisor, so move the decimal point to the right to make the divisor a whole number
When you move the decimal point, you now have 300 / 15
