For number 31 part c do I add the two fractions together?
31) You can either add the two fractions together and then convert to a percent, or convert both fractions to percents and add the two percents together.
I also need help with number 32.
32) You need to convert all four fractions to percents. For some of those fractions it is easier to reduce the fraction first, and then write an equivalent fraction with 100 as the denominator.
Example: 26/40 simplify to 13/20 and then make the denominator 100
26/40 = 13/20 = ?/100
13*5 = 65, so it's 65/100 or 65%
I need help with number 33 please.
72% chose a mascot other than tiger, which means 28% chose tiger.
tiger # / tiger % 14 / 28 (or 1/2)
72% are the other animals and we know we have 11 eagles, 6 polar bears, and ? vikings. 17 + ? = 36 (36 since that is half of the percent based on the pattern above)
36 - 17 = 19 vikings
I need help on the extras, where and how do they go on the number line.
The extras do not go on the number line.
